About this property
A character cottage with a contemporary glass extension, in the heart of Newport. Clydfan is a stay built around contrast, and how naturally it works. At the front, a traditional Welsh cottage, full of warmth and character. At the rear, a bright, glass-fronted extension that opens out to the garden, creating a space that feels light, open, and connected to the outdoors. The cottage has a cosy living room with wood stove, a light-filled kitchen and dining space with floor-to-ceiling glass opening onto the garden, a Super King bedroom, and a simple, well-finished bathroom with walk-in shower. Set just off Newport's high street, everything is within easy reach.
